The detection and quantification of the rolling contact fatigue (RCF) in rail tracks are essential for safety condition-based maintenance. tomographic reconstruction is challenging work. x-ray unable to do in-situ inspection effectively. This paper proposes a new approach RCF construction using 3D eddy current pulsed thermography. A differential time-square-root (sqrt) temperature drop (DTSTD) proposed as mean construct sectional images reconstruct thermal tomography image. method validated through artificial angular crack slots well natural crack. compared with computed on track head cut-off cracks.
